Lost Trail Ranch is proud to provide spectacular and exciting high mountain, back country guided horseback trail rides for experienced riders - guests and visitors alike.  For an unforgettable adventure in the wilderness of Southwestern Colorado, Lost Trail Ranch offers rides lasting from two hours, four hours, or all day.  All rides are custom tailored to the wants and needs of our guests, and numbers are kept small to best enjoy the peace, beauty and serenity of these mountains. 

In addition, we are proud to continue and expand upon our individualized one-on-one lessons in horsemanship.  Our focus is your safety, and helping to open up the world of communicating with horses, feeling more comfortable with horses, and understanding how to work together with the horse to enable a safe, enjoyable and controlled ride.

Note:  All trail rides and lessons must be scheduled well in advance. 

Appointments must be confirmed with a $25 non-refundable deposit.  A $25 fee may be charged for any ride cancelled after horses are saddled for the scheduled ride.

Safety,  both of our riders and our horses, is our first concern, and a brief lesson and rider evaluation will be provided before each ride to ensure the ability of the rider to safely control and handle their horse.  Due to the nature of the back country, high mountain trails, rides are not recommended for children and beginners.  However, we would be glad to arrange for lessons for children and beginners.  For additional information about safety and our riding program at Lost Trail Ranch,  please click to read our posted SAFETY INFORMATION.

Please note:  We have a minimum fee of $50 per hour for all horseback riding services.

Guiding only is also available for those guests bringing and riding their own horses.
