Price

There is a $100 per head, per stay fee for guest’s livestock, and guests must receive prior approval from Lost Trail Ranch before bringing any stock onto the ranch property.  Compliance with all below guidelines and restrictions is required.  We reserve the right to refuse service at any point we deem necessary. 

In providing this courtesy for our guests, we will assume that Owner shall be respectful of the Ranch, our guests, our outfitting operations, and the surrounding lands.  Small pens may be provided if available, and guest must bring their own water and feed troughs.

Guidelines and Restrictions

  1. For the safety of our herd and the surrounding wildlife, we require that the owner provide current health certificates for each horse or mule, signed and dated by appropriate authority, in compliance with current interstate regulations.
  2. Hay must be certified weed free. 
  3. Water used for stock should be kept to a minimum, as with all water use here on the Ranch.
  4. Please clean up after your stock!  All pens must be cleaned on a daily basis, and manure deposited in our designated areas.  As with wilderness areas surrounding us, when you and your stock leave, please leave no trace.
  5. Guests shall be responsible for providing their own safe and secure portable corrals, feeders, and water containers.  Limited designated portable corrals may be available – please inquire well in advance.
  6. Guests may ride their horses on Ranch property at a walk only and for coming and going only. 
  7. Safe handling and responsible oversight of horses is required by owners at all times on Ranch properties..

Release of Liability

The undersigned, having brought his or her own livestock onto Lost Trail Ranch for personal use only, shall hereby incur all costs and expenses and responsibilities involved and related to such stock, in acceptance of all mentioned terms and agreements, and shall release Robert and/or Virginia Getz and/or Lost Trail Ranch from any responsibility, damage or loss caused by or incurred to the said livestock.

In addition, the undersigned, reserving the option to procure from or participate with Robert Getz and/or Virginia Getz, Lost Trail Ranch, a saddle horse or horses for riding or packing purposes, understands that such horse or horses may run, jump, turn, shy or otherwise move rapidly or unexpectedly for some causes over which Robert and/or Virginia Getz have no control, because of the inherent nature of horses, and that the undersigned hereby waive and release the said Robert and/or Virginia Getz, and Lost Trail Ranch, of and from any liability, and agrees to forego any claim or demand of every kind and nature arising out of any accident from any cause occurring during the time the undersigned is riding or in the proximity of any horse of said Robert Getz and/or Virginia Getz.  This release shall extend to any minor children or members of the family of the undersigned.
